In just 5-10 minutes, you can efficiently set up your coaching engagement using the GCG Coaching tools. Follow this step-by-step guidance and watch the demo video below (screencast, no audio).
1. Create a New Engagement:
- Check the "number of engagements available" and then click on "New Engagement."
2. Enter Participant Information:
- Add in the leader's first name, last name, email address, and any other required details.
3. Define Leadership Growth Areas:
- Add Leadership Growth Areas (LGAs).
- We recommend using one or two LGAs for the best results, but you can choose up to four.
4. Design the Session Flow:
- Determine the number of coaching sessions for your engagement. Typically, engagement durations span 6, 9, or 12 months, corresponding to a total of 6 to 13 sessions.
- You can add sessions as needed, but please note that once created, sessions cannot be deleted.
- Customize session labels to your preference.
- The session flow defines the structure of your engagement.
5. Add Coworkers:
- Now you can move to the "Coworkers" tab and begin adding coworkers.
- Add coworkers one by one.
- Specify their relationship to the leader as a manager, peer, direct report, or other.
- Input their email, first name, last name, and select their language (currently available in English only, other languages might be available in Q1 2025).
- Add as many coworkers as required. Typically, leaders involve 5 to 15 coworkers, but you can add more based on the organization's structure and the leader's span of control. Some leaders have involved up to 30 coworkers.
- You can add coworkers at any time and deactivate (or reactivate) them as needed.
Your entire engagement setup is now complete in minutes. By following these straightforward steps, your coaching engagement will be efficiently configured and ready to go.
