Coaches attain a 95% success rate in leaders improving their Leadership Growth Areas (LGAs), Overall leadership effectiveness, Team effectiveness, and Organizational Results. That is the essence of our Triple Win Approach.
More LGAs and fewer actions per LGA undermine the 95% success as it spreads the leader's scarce resources thin, and the busy coworkers do not notice the change.
Why 1 or 2 Leadership Growth Areas (LGAs)
- Focus is key. Focus helps the leader to concentrate their change efforts on a few things and commits them to demonstrate success.
- Focus results in overall success. If leaders get better at two LGAs, they also get better in many other areas of leadership, as outlined in your business case. This is evidenced by a 95% success rate in the leaders' overall leadership effectiveness improvement, as confirmed by coworkers.
Focus means Less is More!
Why three or more Actions per LGA
Focus on fewer things more often. More Actions per LGAs are better.
Supporting your LGAs with a wide range of frequent actions per LGA ensures more success faster for the leaders, and their coworkers will perceive it easier.
This again underpins the 95% logic above.
Exceptions available to you
To accommodate flexibility in the GCG coaching tools, you can define up to 4 LGAs and a minimum of three actions per LGA. Please note this flexibility does not accommodate your success as a coach. Almost all engagements on the GCG Coaching tools use two LGAs!
