Feedforward - Involve Coworkers Better and Get More Suggestions

Engaging coworkers and ensuring their active involvement is vital for the success of the coaching engagement. In cases where leaders are not getting enough FF suggestions from their coworkers, they need to engage coworkers personally and involve coworkers proactively.

Here are some suggestions:

• Ask the leader to send personalized emails to their coworkers. E-mail templates are the Coaching Tools Templates and Resources folder.

• Suggest the leader to re-onboard their coworkers again. Details are in Onboarding Coworkers.

• Other strategies for increasing coworker engagement in the feedforward and coaching process are:

  1. Choose a Leadership Growth Area (LGA) that is meaningful and relevant to coworkers.

  2. Set clear expectations and explain the purpose of the feedforward process to coworkers.

  3. Encourage open conversations and regular check-ins to understand coworker perspectives.

  4. Discuss the action plan in one-on-one meetings with coworkers to encourage direct feedforward.

  5. Share the progress and outcomes of the coaching process with coworkers.

  6. Recognize and reward coworkers for active participation.

  7. Promote a culture of continuous improvement that values feedforward.

  8. Close the feedforward loop by demonstrating how input leads to improvements and solutions.

These strategies aim to enhance engagement and the quality of the feedforward and coaching process, making it more effective and beneficial for both leaders and coworkers.

Customizing emails is not an option in the Coaching Tool to engage coworkers, which is explained in Feedforward - Answers to FAQs in 2 mins

A discussion with coaching on this subject is in the video hereunder. And more to come in our training sessions.
