The Action Plan (AP) tool includes a powerful AP implementation follow-up survey designed to track the AP implementation and engage the leader and coworkers to cocreate More Impact.
Follow this step-by-step guidance and watch the demo video below.
Why Use Action Plan Implementation Follow-Up:
AP value lies in implementation; a great plan, poorly executed, is futile, while an average plan, well executed, creates substantial impact.
AP reminders aid forward planning and reflection for leaders.
AP tracking fosters leader engagement and accountability in co-creating change with coworkers, complementing the FF tool involving coworkers seamlessly.
Monitor AP implementation as a coach for productive GDD discussions in the next coaching sessions.
When to Use:
In between coaching sessions
During Coaching Sessions
How to Use:
In between Coaching Sessions
Utilizing the reminders set in the Action Plan tool, leaders receive automated emails containing their AP and a link to the AP survey for progress tracking. Reminder dates can be adjusted as needed (described in this article)
You could choose to review their progress at times and send the leader a note of encouragement midway between coaching sessions. When the leaders feel that you are actively guiding and tracking their journey, they stay more engaged in implementing their action plan.
During the Coaching Session
At the start of the coaching session, the AP Results View and the AP Survey Link page are very effective in guiding the GDD (Good - Difficult - Different) reflective practice. This leverages insights and self-awareness to improve the next action plan. For details on how to use GDD in your coaching, refer to the Coaching Tools training.
